Mini
Project
SHOW AND TELL: COLOR EDITION!
description:
Our
class represents a number of visual and/or creative
fields and interests. This mini-project is an
opportunity to share interesting color schemes or color concepts from your
field or interest area with the class.
Each
student will share between 3 and 5 examples of good/interesting/meaningful
color relationships or ideas.
These
could be design pieces with a color scheme that you
find to be impactful, video stills with a meaningful color scheme, black and
white photographs with great range of gray values, animated gifs with great
color interactions, examples of color concepts in your field, etc. Whatever you
want to “show and tell” from your field that you find to be interesting!
Items
should be posted to D2L by the due date in one of the following formats:
JPG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, PowerPoint slides with or without notes (PPT), or talk to
me about other formats in advance.
I
will combine all of the submissions in a single
PowerPoint presentation to share with the class. As I scroll through the slides
in class, I’d love it if the person who selected the images told us a little
bit about one or two of them, or gave us the name of
the creator of the original piece, but that is not required. Hopefully this is
a fun visual survey with lots of variety to get us thinking!
