Studio Practice Posting: Print Process
description
Share a printmaking process
with the class via our D2L site (only one process required,
but share as many as you would like). Ideally
it should be a printmaking process that relates to the methods we are covering
in class this quarter or a “sister process” that are close to the methods we
offer in class, but if it’s a really great process that is totally unrelated,
just talk to me about it first!
The process can be something you experimented with yourself,
a different take on something we’ve covered in class, or something you found
online. Folks find great resources online, so this is a rich area to share. To
show the process, include some mixture of the following: a photo or photos that
show the process, a video, a step-by-step or other type of description, a link
to something online that describes the process well visually or through words.
Some processes will be complex involving multiple steps or
supplies and others might be really simple.
process:
·
Think of a process you developed or
discovered or saw and think could be useful to you or to others.
·
Post a photo or photos that show the
process, a video, a step-by-step or other type of description, a link to
something online that describes the process well visually or through words in
the D2L discussion board labeled “Studio Practice Posting: Print Process”
·
Tell us a bit about the process or what
it allows you to do if it is not self-evident in the posting.
·
Give it a title that will help make it
searchable.
·
Check out the other class posts.
Optional: comment as you see fit.
examples:
·
Technique for printing large pieces by adhering
smaller sections together.
Here is a printer/historian examining the archives of artist

make a single piece. See the video section timestamped 13:30-14:40 https://www.nga.gov/stories/videos/print-great-elizabeth-catlett
