Artist Presentation
overview:
Prepare a 5-minute Artist Presentation for the next class
that covers your artistic interests, examples of your work, and what you intend
to do for your final Art Thesis Project (Upload to D2L).
criteria:
3-4 Examples of previous work related to your Art Thesis
Project, use these examples to establish the Content (what your work is about) and Form (what your work looks like and what media you use)
2-3 Inspiration or Research images (examples of other
artists working with a similar topic or media and/or research outside the field
of art that relates to your work)
1-2 Slides covering the concept, media, and size of your proposed final Art Thesis Project,
you can include a rough sketch, bullet points, reference images etc.
format and
submission:
Approximately 5-minute presentation. Instructor may stop presentations
that are significantly over 5 minutes.
Presentation can be any format including PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF etc.
Upload to D2L > submissions > Artist Presentation
Must be uploaded on D2L before the start of class on the due date.
NOTE: I understand this is a tight deadline and you may
not know what you want to do for your final project or that the idea you
developed in Professional Practice may have changed. However, it's important
that we jump right in and verbalize our thoughts and begin to make decisions.
Your ideas will change as the course progresses, but this is a great starting
point. This will also allow us to become familiar with each other's
backgrounds. Presentation can be any format including PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF
etc.
