syllabus — ART 395 —Special Topics in Alternative Printmaking

T 3/31..... Live introduction to class from instructor via zoom (see your email for zoom link and PW). You may participate in real time during our scheduled class time or access the audio at your convenience via D2L after the class ends.
homework 1: Familiarize yourself with our D2L site; yes, it’s a work in progress. Pay special attention to the Syllabus/Schedule/Assignment folder and the Required content folder (view by1 week).
homework 2: Read the class syllabus on D2L (read by 1 week).
homework 3: Fill out the week 1 survey and submit it on D2L (submit by 1 week).
homework4: Get online and purchase the required supplies ASAP so we have as much time as possible to troubleshoot if there are shipping or substitution issues (due date…like now).

Buying printingmaking materials/equipment: Anthem, Blick, Graphic Chemical & Ink, Nazdar, screenprinting.com (sells Rayonet). There are larger industrial suppliers too. Dharma Trading has materials specifically for fabric.

Printmaking in Chicago: Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, Spudnik Press, workshops are also available at Barrel Maker (products), Chicago Art Department, Fugscreens Studio, Hoofprint, Hyde Park Art Center, Lillstreet Art Center, Screwball Press, and others.
